This is it–2021 is nearly behind us, and 2022 is just about here. As we’re all hanging in for the glorious weeks ahead of holiday break, Netflix is already doing its part to make January worth looking forward to. Netflix has announced its full set of movies, shows, and other original content for next month–here’s what you can expect to watch on the streaming service in January.
Arguably the biggest content making its debut on the streaming service next month is Ozark: Season 4 Part 1, on January 21. Season 4 will also be split into two parts, with each one consisting of seven episodes. The synopsis for the final season is as follows: “Freedom from the cartel is seemingly within reach, but fraying familial bonds may prove to be the Byrdes’ ultimate undoing.” Ozark follows the Byrde family from the Chicago suburbs to Missouri, where they go to set up a money laundering operation after another scheme with a Mexican drug cartel goes wrong. However, upon setting up in the Lake of the Ozarks region, the family finds themselves dealing with local criminals. The series stars Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, and others.
If shows about extreme personalities are your thing, Hype House might also appeal. This new reality series, which hits Netflix on January 14, “follows the compelling lives of some of the world’s biggest social media stars.” Each episode will document their “humble beginnings to overnight fame” with stories of how they “came into their own… and tackle the next stage of their lives.”
